Havas Sydney Lofters utterly content after four weeks

I know that I am not alone in sharing that these past four weeks have gone by quicker than anyone could have imagined. I recall when I first learned that I would embark on this journey, I spent a lot of time reading the Week 4 blog posts of the last Havas Lofts class. With that in mind, this is what my co-lofters and I want to tell you — the next class — about this opportunity.

Sonia Guitz, Rosapark, Paris

Three words to describe the experience: Far, motivating, inspiring

Favourite moment: The first day because there was so much to discover

Biggest challenge: Learning new processes, in a new agency, in another language

What I wish I’d done differently: Plan a trip for a few weeks — before of after

Advice for next class: Take advantage of each moment!

Raquel Roca, Havas Media, Barcelona

Three words to describe the experience: Unforgettable, inspirational (in terms of leadership and vision) and desirable (in terms of talent recruitment and team motivation)

Favorite moment: The first day when they showed me my desk for the next 4 weeks, next to the Havas Media CEO!!!

Biggest challenge: Thinking in English 24hrs/day & having an empty agenda

What I wish I’d done differently: Pretty dresses and heels in my luggage :)

Advice for next class: Be prepared to have a lot of fun and drink!

Andrew Wolin, Socialyse, Chicago

Three words to describe the experience: No worries mate

Favourite moment: Host/Havas Village party; experiencing the merge of two creative agencies at an amazing venue with the largest pig I’ve ever seen

Biggest challenge: Working normal hours with the temptation of the beach & Spring weather

What I wish I’d done differently: Fully embrace the lighter workload/headspace

Advice for next class: Find comfort in getting away from your desk. Introduce yourself to everyone and shadow all possible disciplines (even if it’s not relevant to your position at home) for a holistic perspective

Me!

Three words to describe the experience: Exhilarating, refreshing and swift

Favourite moment: Attending a top-secret meeting that I technically wasn’t allowed to be in

Biggest challenge: Ordering coffee

What I wish I’d done differently: Spend more time cross-sharing my home-office offering/what I do

Advice for next class: Plan out everyday, both in and out of the office
