Three weeks ago, I knew nothing related to brand, advertising and creative agencies.

Thanks to Marissa, my coach, the brand strategy team and all the people I have met with in Arnold and the Havas Village, I now realize that brand is so much more than your logo, name or slogan…

Marissa and the brand strategy team are awesome! Thanks to them, I will keep in mind that branding is the entire experience your prospects and customers have with your company, product or service.

Your brand strategy defines what you stand for, a promise you make, and the personality you convey.

The logo, color palette and slogan are only the creative elements that convey your brand.

Among the dozens of amazing people I’ve met with during this month, Elliott, Chief Growth Officer, was particularly inspiring. Strategy has to be regarded as a whole, and this is where my job in CANAL+ is directly liked to what Arnold is doing. Competitive analysis — Market insights — Brand strategy — Distribution channels : they have to be all connected.

An agency like Arnold is facing the same challenges as CANAL+ : GAFAs are growing and we all have to innovate and to be careful not to be disrupted. In CANAL+, marketing strategists and brand strategists have to work better together to survive long term competition!
