Havuta is proud to announce that we have partnered with arboRise to pre-fund work on their afforestation project in Guinea, West Africa.

arboRise’s mission is to “fight against climate change effectively, ethically, humanely and naturally.” The project aims to create new forests in the region, sequester as much carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as possible, while also providing jobs and other economic opportunities to the local community.

Havuta is working to enhance data collection in the development and climate fields. An important part of our approach is to digitize development or climate change action into NFTs on the Polygon network, allowing collectors to finance the important work our partners do.

All NFTs in the arboRise collection contribute to planting trees. Carbon emissions are, as we all know, a concern of catastrophic consequence, and the time to act to reduce atmospheric CO2 is now.

arboRise’s important afforestation work in Guinea contributes to reducing atmospheric carbon and helping us achieve our Net Zero emissions target by 2050.

Three NFTs To Choose From

The arboRise-Havuta collection is the first to be listed in the Havuta Climate Impact NFT collection. The collection is a digital representation of arboRise’s afforestation work and Havuta’s work to verify that impact: that is they are backed by proven, verified climate impact.

There are three NFT types: 100 trees (representing 10% of a hectare); 1,000 trees (one hectare); and for those who want to make a dramatic one-off impact, 10,000 trees, or 10 hectares.

Each hectare sequesters — conservatively — 30 metric tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere, per year, for thirty years. From the proceeds, arboRise can begin using those funds in 2023, meaning your NFT starts offsetting carbon immediately.

So if you’re looking for a way to make a positive impact in the fight against climate change and offset your carbon footprint, consider buying an Impact NFT from Havuta and help support arboRise’s afforestation project in Guinea.
