How NGOs Can Use Havuta to Unlock Donor Funding

Havuta has come a long way. Two years ago we started our journey as a Geneva-based tech startup, providing innovative M&E technology solutions to nonprofits and implementing agencies.

And while our journey continues to today, we are no longer just a tech company. We introduced M&E services about six months ago, having created a global network of research and impact assessment experts.

Now, Havuta has added a powerful tool in our kit of offerings — one which we are sure the development sector would be most interested in.

Because getting funding flowing to effective organisations is in our DNA, Havuta has been working hard behind the scenes to tap into funding channels from institutional donors, impact investment fund managers, and private-public partnership funding bodies to help our customers increase their funding avenues.

Monitoring and Evaluation services conducted by Havuta on behalf of an organisation or by organisations using Havuta’s solutions, record time-stamped hashed data on a public blockchain. Those ‘transactions’ represent Proof of Impact, a powerful signal to donors that a project is measuring its impact and standing by the immutability that blockchain verification provides.

This verified Proof of Impact component of our work is becoming increasingly valued by donors who demand proof of impact.

By deploying Havuta’s services and/or technology solutions to their Monitoring & Evaluation efforts, NGOs are able to leverage our image and reputation and the blockchain veracity of their data to attract more funding for projects.

When a development project has been Havuta measured and verified — backed by ‘transactions’ on the blockchain — it offers investors proof that the impact they sought to achieve with their investments has been made.

Havuta is now working closely with a number of funding avenues to investment & donor funding so that the NGOs we work with can gain easier access to funding.

We are working hard to bridge the gap between the impact donors want to have and the impact donors know they are having. Organisations that use Havuta in their impact evaluations are reaping the rewards.

We started on a mission to get funding flowing to effective development organisations. While we have adjusted and varied our working model over time, that mission remains unchanged. And in fact, everything we’ve done over the past two years has only strengthened our commitment to it.
