The Power of the Makeup Palette:

Megan McDonald, an aspiring makeup artist gave her insight on what the best looks are for the chilly winter season and suggested checking out NikkieTutorials on YouTube.com for great tips on how to correctly apply makeup with useful techniques. McDonald is currently in school to become a makeup artist and highlights on the fact that deep lip shades are a must for the winter.

McDonald said that Nikkie has her own palettes that “have all the essentials but no lip colors. It’s an investment but totally worth the money to have as part of your collection.”

1. A Good Winter Lip: Pat McGrath Bloodwine or Jeffree Star Unicorn Blood

2. TIP: Use Blush contour instead of bronzer

This helps highlight certain parts of the face, palettes are available.

3. For the Eyes: Simple, defined eyes with pops of glitter and graphic winged liner

4. For the Face: Extreme glow on all high points of the face with a blush contour

5. Full eyebrows, of course
