This short (less than 2 min.) piece is made with a single 16-bar theme repeated with variations. The idea was to compose a simple straight-time melody (piano) and then, using the same bass line again, compose a syncopated melody (violin). The third time around, both melodies are played. Then, for the 4th and final repeat, we give the bass a chance for some variation for 8 bars, and then the whole thing finishes out (with some additional emphasis on the bass line).
