There’s a bias people hold toward the less privileged. If a wealthy person gets into a fisticuf with a poor person, many in the public will instinctively support the poor, often without evaluating the context of the altercation or considering who is right or wrong. They tend to view it emotionally, believing that the rich are trying to take advantage of the poor.
