New original programming highlights include a brand-new lineup of Sunday night series including Westworld, a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness that explores a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged; Sarah Jessica Parker’s return to HBO as a woman who suddenly begins to reassess her life and strained relationship after more than a decade of marriage in Divorce; and Insecure, a new comedy series starring Issa Rae that explores the black female experience in an unclichéd and authentic way.

Other new original programming includes the premiere of VICE News Tonight, the new nightly newscast from VICE Media, Class Divide, a documentary about the growing inequality gap in the U.S., plus the sketch comedy series Tracey Ullman’s Show, the season 2 premiere of the HBO Latino series Magnifica ’70, and a special Halloween-themed episode of Sesame Street.

New theatrical highlights include hit films likes Deadpool, which broke box office records when it debuted earlier this year, along with Ride Along 2 and Joy, plus enough scary movies to keep even the most hardcore horror fans frightened all month, including both the original Poltergeist and an extended version of the 2015 remake, 28 Days Later (with sequel 28 Weeks Later also available until the end of the month), Jeepers Creepers, John Carpenter’s Ghost of Mars and extended cuts of both I Am Legend and An American Haunting.
