Bad Design
logical blindspot

I saw this at my friend’s house. What’s funnier about this cellar (bodega) door is that apparently, it is painted Mint green. A very rare choice of color for a storage door. Hahaha.
The door was made of wood and on it latched a rusty swing lock that, upon first inspection, looks normal.
Then you notice that the swing lock does not have something to latch itself into the white wall, which pretty much defeats its purpose.
I suggest that either:
- Remove the old swing lock since it’s already rusty and obviously useless; or
- let the swing lock serve its purpose and add its “lock partner” to the wall.
