Since I have been exposed to many websites sometimes I can easily judge and compare the websites I encounter. Since also I know how challenging it is to do a website I appreciate it even though it has a simple designs but of course with proper color combination. By this activity I get to know some of the test users reaction to a certain website without the knowledge of how it is made.

The first test user is my sister an 18 years old, 3rd year taking BS Environmental Management in Ateneo de Naga University. She loves eating and watching food variety shows international. Since she love burgers I let her saw the website about burgers which is the www.hughjassburgers.com. When she saw the first page her expression is kinda exicited but when he click the link for the homepage her expression change into a boring look and said “ayos lang kaya lang ka boring ta puro pictures lang dawa agko sound uda pati text man lang, ka plain hilingon” and when she go to other menus she said “u background na red medyo makolog sa mata ag di bagay”.

Me myself access again the homepage I let her saw and then I can feel what she feels it’s kinda hassle at first because in order for you to go to that homepage you have to click another link and then in the homepage you can see the pictures like a power point presentation with a sound playing as background.

The second test user is my best friend and classmate since elementary and high school. She is 20 years old and 4 BS Chemistry in Bicol University. Since we met last Friday I took the opportunity to ask her to visit the website http://www.1927events.com/ as one of my test user. As soon that I ask her she kept asking why and smiling. When she accesses the website she can easily browse the pages since it’s just scrolling down. And when I ask her how it was she said “simple pero maganda, and bagay sa concept”. She also said the she like it since she is also having plans in planning an event just like the website. She also asks if I did the website and immediately answer no and I hope I did that.

For me the UI design of the webpage is kinda cool. The effects on how the image is shown as the user scroll down the page is amazing. Even though it’s kinda simple to look but it has an elegance effect for me. I think what I think is what my second test user also feels.

The third test user of mine is my cousin. He is 21 years old and currently working at Jollibee. Since he loves to eat I show him the website about pizzas http://www.pulcinella.ca/. He also kept asking me why, what is it for but since I can’t tell him at first I just said that it was my assignment. When he is easily browsing it and navigating the arrows he asks “ika nagibo nyadi?” which means if I am the one who made the website and of course I refuse and hoping I did that. And when I ask him how was it, he said without changing his expression “detailed about sa product nira(nila)”.He also said that “sana agko mga litrato ning pagkaon para mas feel ko” which also means it would be better if there are pictures in the menu so that he can feel it.

The website is beautiful. There were lots happening when you point the mouse anywhere. And yeah the website offers their product with details maybe so that the customer will be encouraged to visit their resto.
