Busan Smart Tour Application ‘Blockpass’ is Now Released

‘Blockpass’, a smart travel platform of HYUNDAI PAY which uses Hdac Technology’s private blockchain technology, is launched on 15th July.

Blockpass is a part of Busan’s regulation-free zone projects(supported by Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Busan Metropolitan City) and is a travel platform which allows tourists to check all the information, including discounts information, on hospitality, transportation, tourist spots, activities, restaurants, cafés, and etc. with just one application.

In Busan’s designated regulation-free zone allows storing sensitive information off-chain. Off-chain storage saves sensitive private information on a separate server, which is not a blockchain, and only manages the location information of the separately saved information and other transaction data on a blockchain. Blockpass plans on providing higher quality travel service with the big data made from the securely gathered information.

With convenient one-click login function, a function using DID identification technology based on Hdac Technology’s blockchain, Blockpass provides a highly credible system which prevents double-booking and etc. The application manages diverse information, from information on the search of travel products and services to the purchase and use of tickets, transparently. It is also expected to expand into MyData business by providing credible travel data through functions such as reviews and comments.

Also, the affiliate members of the service can utilize Blockpass app as a marketing channel. The app benefits both users and affiliates by using smart contract technology which allows it to calculate and provide payments instantly.

To liven up the tourism industry which became stagant due to COVID-19, ‘Up to Half Price Discount for Busan Trip’ campaign, a win-win campaign for both tourists and the district business owners will be hosted as Blockpass is launched. The campaign’s main product, ’99,000won Busan Half Price Discount PACK’, involves a round-trip ticket for express train and an option of hotel(for two persons), yacht, or rental car(buyer must choose one from the three options). The product also provides travel products at the discount rate of maximum 50% with the participation from Busan Tourism Association and more than 50 businesses from Busan Tourism Future Networks which can be purchased on Blockpass app.

Blockpass app for Android is now available on Google Play store and Apple iOS version will be launched within this year. Please stay tuned for more updates.
