RIZON MAGNUS Upgrade Announcement :

Titan upstream & IBC patch

Dear Rizonians,

RIZON is a digital currency & Asset Hub. The launch of RIZON Blockchain was just the beginning. To make new era to make our vision, RIZON will continue to pave a path towards sailing Web3 economy. Regarding those words, RIZON is proposing to have MAGNUS UPGRADE!!!

Magnus, meaning ‘Great’ in Latin, was used as cognomen of Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus in the first century BCE. The best-known use of the name during the Roman Empire is for the fourth-century Western Roman Emperor Magnus Maximus. — Wikipedia -

RIZON is stepping forward to be an Upstream and become MAGNUS. For that upgrade is needed.

RIZON Mainnet (a.k.a Titan) 0.3.0 upgrade is expected to happen on 2,648,000 block height. Currently, the on-chain governance proposal of #1 has been submitted on March 9. Once this proposal passes, RIZON Titan will be upgrading to mainnet 0.3.0 on 2,648,000 block height.

Ready for Production

These changes will have extensively test by various RIZON Contributor members. The release contributors for this update will run as a local and public testnet (a.k.a Groot) with a successful upgrade; documentation can be found here.

On-Chain Upgrade Process

When the network reaches the halt height, the state machine program of the RIZON will be halted. The classic method for upgrading requires all validators and node operators to manually substitute the existing state machine binary with the new binary. There is also a newer method that relies on Cosmovisor to swap the binaries automatically. Cosmovisor also includes the ability to download the binaries automatically before swapping them. Instructions specific to the upgrade can be found here. Because it is an onchain upgrade process, the blockchain will be continued with all the accumulated history with continuous block height.

Migration Guides

For Node Operators (validators):

If you operate and maintain nodes (validator nodes or full nodes), you all need to perform the software upgrade.

More details can be found: https://github.com/rizon-world/mainnet/blob/master/upgrade/Magnus.md

For Users:

For Rizonians, it’s always recommended to safely backup your wallet mnemonics or keystore files.

Rizonians! please participate in the governance proposal and cast your vote via supported Wallet or other tools!

Testing your upgrade setup

There is a testnet which full nodes can sync to, to test that they have setup cosmovisor correctly on a new node. See #testnet-announcements and #rizon-testnet and #tiitan-validator-lounge in the RIZON & ATOLO Discord. (URLs are in the end)

RIZON: Possibility to Reality

RIZON and its ecosystem is growing. To build infrastructure globally, all participants need to give ideas and propose. RIZON will continue to build the most powerful decentralized Digital currency and asset Hub and innovate Web3 applications.

RIZON Blockchain will enable interoperability between sovereign blockchain networks and allowing for an environment for these networks to utilize a vast pool of liquidity, providing that caters to the business needs of individual projects. RIZON Blockchain has strong network background and capable boosting the inflow of the ecosystem participants and the diversification of business.

This is not financial advice. Staking, delegation, and cryptocurrencies involve a high degree of risk, and there is always the possibility of loss, including the failure of all staked digital assets. Additionally, delegators are at risk of slashing in case of security or liveness faults on some protocols. We advise you to do your due diligence before choosing a validator.
