I’m Hai-Dao and I’d like to thank you for taking the time to read through my portfolio. I am looking for UX positions.
I began my UX journey in 2017 when I began to realize the importance of design in everyday life and how it could make a day much smoother or more frustrating through small choices. UX for me is a form of applied ethics. Creating research-driven, human-centred products is one of the small ways we can change the world.
I have just graduated in Philosophy at the University of Waterloo and my research interests lie in the intersection of ethics with technology and design. Academically, I’ve written about topics such as the harm reduction of algorithms, the ethics of addictive UX patterns and ethical AI.
