Archive
EVA Growth Index:
No external sources showing growth
Product:
SaaS platform that enables commerce players to embed second-hand marketplaces into their online experience
Lead Investors:
Bain Capital Ventures, FirstMark, Lightspeed Venture Partners
Total Raised:
$9M
Comparables:
MarketCube
My Thoughts:
Most brands already experience re-sales of their products so they might as well own the experience and benefit of the data that the marketplace provides
Kadmos
EVA Growth Index:
No external sources showing growth
Product:
HR solution that enables employers to pay out salaries to employees internationally, no matter the currency
Lead Investors:
Addition
Total Raised:
$9M
Comparables:
Remote, Deel
My Thoughts:
While remote and international work has become the norm, there is still so much friction in getting international employees paid in a compliant manner. I like how Kadmos focuses purely on getting employees paid and does not force employers to engage with an entire HR solution like the existing incumbents
The Vets
EVA Growth Index:
Product:
Veterinary care directly in the pet owners home
Lead Investors:
Target Global, Pico Venture Partners, Bolt Ventures
Total Raised:
$42M
Comparables:
BetterVet
My Thoughts:
Most veterinary visits could easily be performed in the home of the consumers so it makes all the sense in the world to me to provide a premium offering that takes out the cost of the physical practice.
The.com
EVA Growth Index:
Product:
New age website builder
Lead Investors:
NFX
Total Raised:
$5M
Comparables:
Wix, Squarespace
My Thoughts:
This seems like a diluted market, but more websites are built every day than ever before. The.com looks like they have put together a beautiful product with probably the best domain in the market.
Dashworks
EVA Growth Index:
No external sources showing growth
Product:
Cross application document/information/content search solution
Lead Investors:
Undisclosed
Total Raised:
$5M
Comparables:
Command E
My Thoughts:
We at Headline’s US office, a small venture capital firm, use GSuite, Microsoft Office, Notion, Linear, Slack, and Egnyte. Accessing and liberating knowledge across these in a single interface would be incredibly powerful!
