Top Seed Companies

We see about 5,000 startups each week, and I want to give you a glimpse into how we at Headline think about trending tech companies and tracking new investment opportunities. In this post, I’m highlighting top tech companies that have announced or raised a seed round within the past week.

Spendflo

EVA Growth Index:
No external sources show growth

Product:
Platform to help businesses negotiate and renew their SaaS contracts

Lead Investors:
Accel India, Together Fund

Total Raised:
$4.4M

Comparables:
Airbase, Blissfully, Zluri

My Thoughts:
As companies are tying up their budgets, they’ll be looking to get more out of their SaaS spend as well. It only makes sense to me to replace headcount and implement a platform to drive this in the most cost-effective manner. The why now here is very evident in my eyes.

Nue

EVA Growth Index:

Product:
Omni-channel RevOps platform that lets businesses dynamically bill the right products at the right price point at the right time to the right customer

Lead Investors:
Information Venture Partners

Total Raised:
$6M

Comparables:
Blackthorn, RevOps.io

My Thoughts:
Price is such a major driver to conversion and static pricing pages just don’t cut it, especially with products that demand complex pricing structures.

Rigor

EVA Growth Index:
No external sources showing growth

Product:
Fintech platform to find loans and manage payments for new home construction projects

Lead Investors:
Third Prime

Total Raised:
$3.5M

Comparables:
Roostify, Built

My Thoughts:
Anything that can streamline the building of new homes to aid the US housing crisis is a major opportunity in my eyes. They are still in beta but excited to see where Rigor goes.

Dynaboard

EVA Growth Index:
No external sources showing growth

Product:
Low code developer platform that enables users to build powerful web apps on top of any database

Lead Investors:
XYZ Venture Capital

Total Raised:
$6.6M

Comparables:
Glide Apps, Appsheet

My Thoughts:
A lot of individualists can query databases but connecting them to front-ends is really where it becomes tough. It looks like Dynaboard has built a beautiful solution to bridge just that to enable any data-savvy individual to build powerful web-apps.

Spacedrive

EVA Growth Index:
No external sources showing growth

Product:
Single interface for users to search and organize files across all their different cloud storage providers

Lead Investors:
Undisclosed

Total Raised:
Undisclosed

Comparables:
MultCloud

My Thoughts:
As we age as users across multiple cloud storage providers we can all relate to the pain point of not knowing in which ecosystem we might have stored something in the first place. Solving this will only become more relevant over time as we all have more and more data across more and more cloud providers.
