Furthermore, since crypto businesses are borderless in nature, it is important to be fully compliant with legal and regulatory requirements across various jurisdictions. As a matter of fact some countries due to their legal stance towards crypto being unclear are excluded from the list of participating countries. Depending on where projects are located and the nature of their operations, they may require different KYC processes to ensure regulatory compliance.

It is important to note that we as the IDO launchpad are unable to influence or dictate who can or cannot participate due to specific country restrictions.

When does a KYC check occur while participating in an IDO?

KYC process kicks in after the allowlist window has been closed. If you have been selected for the next stage, you will be required to undergo a KYC verification process. This mandatory step ensures the project launches fairly and the removal of any bots and equally important, guarantees compliance with regional regulation. Once this procedure has been fully completed, the project team will provide the eligible and fully verified applicants list (those who have passed KYC) to HeadStarter for their IDO launch.

What is the next step after the KYC check?

After having successfully passed KYC, you will be notified and all you have to do is wait for the launch date and time of the upcoming IDO.
