No Pain PMS and Periods, ladies!

Another thing we don’t like talking about: Periods, PMS, Menopause.

What did I do differently this past month? Normally getting my period means pain. I get cramps and swell up and often think I’m dying when I am simply going through the change my body has gone through since puberty about 38 years ago.

Yes, I am that old. Old enough to have beat cancer and old enough to have a doctor try to sell me a hysterectomy and old enough to approach those menopause years we dread.

And I would think that what I did this past month was a fluke, but it has happened before. Over and over again when I do these simple life changes I feel great and find relief from pain, boating, headaches, and fatigue.

Inconsistency in habits is just life. We all have stressors in life that cause us to have less than consistent good habits.

But good is a relative term. Specifically, what actions did I do over and over again to bring about this positive, sustainable change?

And why don’t we talk about these things more often?

I’m going to tell you a true story — that, well, is a little embarrassing.

My mother was great. She was kind hearted and a wonderful cook. She loved animals and was generous with everyone. One thing she could not do is talk about sex, periods, puberty, female trouble, or relationships. Bad ones especially. She found all that uncouth. These were the days when people used words like ‘uncouth’.

When I became a mom I promised myself I would be there for my kids. Daughters, sons, whatever.

Turns out — the topic is actually pretty uncomfortable for casual conversations and even private conversations. My kids wanted nothing to do with it. Turns out it all is pretty uncouth after all.

As I eventually befriended my mom’s more formal and shut down side, my daughter came to be able to ask me questions about my habits and things that made me feel better. She even ended up getting a minor in nutrition.

So — what are two of my main secrets to feeling good?

Simple: Sweat and Water. But there’s more… First let’s talk sweat and water.

Seriously, the habits I want to talk to you about are not rocket science. Doing these things don’t require any special powers.

The impact it will have on your life is gargantuan, however. It will be like turning a light switch on when you’ve been living in the dark for a very long time.

The good news is, it is never too late to make positive changes for your future.

Our bodies are pretty incredible! For my sweat, I go to hot vinyasa power yoga and last week I rode almost 100 miles (in about 100 degree weather).

But don’t just jump into something extreme — Please.

I can help you train and condition your way there in accordance with your personal needs.

In addition, I am tuned into the amount of electrolytes my body needs to be able to do these things. And I know how to read the cues when I am under or over.

So…

Let me ask you this, ladies:

  • Do you want to feel (and look) great?
  • Do you want more energy and mental clarity?
  • Do you secretly know you could use some accountability to make serious progress?
  • Are you seeking abundance in your life? Perhaps a better job, more clients, more money, more time?
  • Do you want to live pain free?
  • Do you want to improve your overall health and well being?

I have helped people get off of diabetes drugs, change their diets, get stronger, race harder, and feel more contentment. Did I mention: I cured my own cancer without traditional treatment?

I have coached new business owners from basic financial fundamentals to overall marketing strategy.

Sweat and water — Detox and hydrate. Flow.

Pain and aches are all about your body telling you there are blocks that need clearing in your life. Stop the feast and famine cycle. You hear about the flow state all the time with stars and athletes. They are in the zone.

You know what this means, but have not yet found a way to get there on demand.

It’s going to sound silly at first and maybe feel a little strange, but start with this simple affirmation, take a deep breath, believe every word….if you don’t at first, repeat it until you do…. and let me know how it goes.
