3 Ways You Can Participate In Random Acts Of Kindness Day

If you haven’t heard already, today is National Random Act of Kindness Day. What does that mean for you? Well, you could sit back and let the day pass you by as any other, or you could get out there and just do even one genuinely kind thing for someone else. This someone could be a complete stranger, a friend in need, a co-worker-it doesn’t matter. The point is, without thinking all day about it, just randomly put out a kind gesture. If you’re truly stumped with how you can lend a helping hand today, here are some great ideas:

1. Pay for the person in line behind you’s coffee.

This has become a popular random act of kindness, and in my opinion is a great way to give back. Whether you’re in the drive through at Dunkin Donuts today, or just standing in line-pay for that person behind you. It doesn’t matter what they look like, sound like, or how weird their coffee order may be-pay for it.

2. Buy flowers and hand it to a coworker, girlfriend, or random person.

Who doesn’t love a beautiful bouquet of flowers on a dull day? So, find the brightest, most beautiful bunch, and hand it to the person who looks like they need it most.

3. Volunteer your time at an animal shelter, food bank, or a place of your choice.

This doesn’t cost a thing, and will allow you to feel great and you’re helping someone in need. So many shelters, food banks, etc. are always looking for volunteers. Who knows, maybe this is something you’ll truly enjoy and want to keep at even after today!

Sometimes we all need a little ‘pick me up’ to get through the day, especially a Wednesday. So, create your own random act of kindness or chose one of the above, and help to put a smile one someone’s face today!

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
