Pass The Guac Please-Super Bowl Sunday Prep Is In Full Effect

What’s Superbowl Sunday without all of the appetizers? Boring is what it is. However, in the midst of all the fun and stuffing your mouth full of pigs in a blanket-we forget about how awful we’ll feel come Monday morning. The greasy food, the alcohol-it all leaves for an unsettling feeling. So, we’ve come up with an alternative recipe that is still out of this world good, will keep your guests happy, but is a bit healthier!

Grab a big bag of tortilla chips because we’re showing you how to make Guacamole Kefir style!

Kefir Guacamole Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 to 3 shallots coarsely chopped
  • 1 Small red or white onion coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 Small Green pepper coarsely chopped
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onion tops
  • 2 large avocados: peeled, pitted, and coarsely chopped
  • 1 1/2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup plain Latta Kefir
  • 1/4 cup low fat sour cream
  • 1 tsp crumbled dried dill or tarragon
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions:

  • Simply combine all ingredients into a medium size bowl, stirring well until everything is mixed.
  • Serve to guests with tortilla chips, and enjoy!
