My baby shoes and my sister's. Found in my mum's attic.

Yesterday, I watched a Dutch series “The Boy Without History”. A young Dutch guy, who studied at Harvard, gets a brain infection due to a virus and survives without memory.

He gets his brain condition on a trip to Mexico. His best friend saves his life. He transferred to San Diego Hospital. And his mum, dad, and uncle (a scientific pharma specialist) come over.

The brain specialist treating him has the statement from this title in his office.

“I have no ego”

So, he accepts that the professional medical uncle is part of the American medical team. 2 American specialists and the uncle find the ways to treat this 21-years-young guy.

USA Versus Europe

I’m European. And I started my professional career in an American chemical company. I remember how I had a completely different experience in the 1980s.

Generalized: Americans think they are on top of the world and never accept that anything from outside USA can have any meaning or value.

My boss had one favorite statement as well. It was a different one from this doctor.
