Should You Ozempic Your Fat Away? Here Is Where It Gets Tricky
And what you can do instead.

Like some of you, losing weight was frustrating for me. At the beginning of your journey, you lose 2 pounds today, and the next day you gain 5 pounds again.
You want to give up so you make even more terrible mistakes, eating more calories than you should, drinking and smoking to get your mind off your frustration.
Before you know it, you’ve added 10 pounds to your weight and now you feel stuck.
I have been there too. At a point, I considered surgery to get the weight off.
However, drugs like Ozempic are giving people effective results without the risks associated with surgery.
When Oprah opened up to PEOPLE about her weight loss journey and using Ozempic, other people started talking about their own experiences on how the treatment worked for them too.
Ozempic is usually prescribed for people with type 2 diabetes. Unlike other obesity prescription medications like Wegovy and Mounjaro, Ozempic is nutrient-stimulated, hormone-based medications that target the brain and affect satiety.
It helps to reduce hunger cravings and you feel full on a small amount of food. But you need to include exercises and adjust your lifestyle for these medications to work.
Lately, Ozempic has been popularly used by celebrities with obesity to lose weight without having to deal with the complications from surgical procedures.
It makes sense why people would opt for a weight loss prescription than surgery. But if you are not obese, should you use Ozempic to maintain your weight?
One thing that always comes to my mind when I hear people using drugs to lose weight is that “you can’t stay on it forever.”
In order to lose weight and maintain that weight, you need a solution you can incorporate as a lifestyle because that will give you the sustainable result you are looking for.
However, Ozempic results are not long-lasting. Most people who got off the medication reported that they regained their weight– twice their initial weight– immediately after they stopped taking the treatment.
