The MS Waterfall

Multiple sclerosis is a multifactorial disease.

That means there are many factors that combine to create a winning ticket for this powerful deluge.

Why do we need to understand why we have MS? Because understanding why is the first step to understanding how we can stem the flow, and how far back we need to travel to see the incredible view of what’s on offer.

What’s on offer is a life much better than we realised before we became sick. It’s the best life. Not ‘the-best-life-to-be-expected-for-someone-with-MS.’ I don’t mean that, I mean THE. BEST. LIFE. Not despite having MS. It’s because we have MS that we get to discover it.

Smile. Because we have MS, we get to discover the keys to the best life.

So let’s ride!

Genes are pre-dispositions, not destiny

Our genes form the basic terrain and the slope. But genes are not everything. They are the pre-dispositions. That’s all they are. We still have more control. (Don’t get me started on the piano keys and the power of the pianist or I’ll get swept away in the torrent!)
