This is the publication space for an Aotearoa based health sector solidarity network - Health Sector Workers Network. We publish articles and statements based on personal experiences, as well as individual and collective analysis of the institutions that we work for, are members of and are governed by. While we have a commitment to respecting the anonymity of authors at their request, statements are often co-authored collectively and hence are simply signed Health Sector Workers Network. As a group, our collective aims include agitating for better conditions for people — both those using and delivering health services. We also believe in the collective capacity of working people to organise and make change through our own ability. Sometimes this will mean promoting a vision that clashes with institutions. We do this with a desire of building not only a better health system but a richer and healthier society with mutual aid and caring at it’s core.
