On March 1st, Senator Orrin Hatch said that supporters of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) were the “stupidest, dumb*ss” people he had ever met.

He said it as a sitting Senator. And he said it on camera.

In response, health care advocates across the country raised their voices. We rejected the Senator’s statement, and spoke up by using his own words against him through the tag #WhatsStupidest.

#WhatsStupidest is the cost of our health care.

#WhatsStupidest is the lack of humanity.

#WhatsStupidest is how out of touch our politicians have become.

By the end of the day on Friday, Senator Hatch was forced to apologize.

But we will not forget. This is another example of how when health care voters raise their voices, lawmakers are forced to listen.

As we near the November elections, continue to stand up. Continue to speak out. Continue to call out lawmakers who trade in our trust for their own political gain.

As Health Care Voters, we are mobilizing.

And in November, we will vote.

We are mobilizing one million voters nationwide to hold Trump and Congressional Republicans accountable for their efforts to sabotage Americans’ health care.
