HEALTHCARE ON THE BLOCKCHAIN

We are designing a global healthcare ecosystem powered by the Ethereum blockchain. On the HealthSapiens platform, consumers are able seek and accept the service of accredited healthcare providers, which is evaluated and reviewed in real time. All parties involved in offering or consuming care will be incentivized in a self-sustaining, tokenized environment that thrives on transparency, tangible activity and accuracy of care, instead of the interests of a third-party intermediary.

THE DOC TOKEN

The DOC token will be used to purchase services from accredited providers on the HealthSapiens platform. These providers will be able to be evaluated based on the outcomes from past transactions that have been recorded. Doctors that have a consistent history of improved patient outcomes will be able to leverage this history to increase the demand of their services. Patients will be able to review and compare services provided by different doctors, and choose the right doctor for their particular needs.

PRIVATE, YET ACCESSIBLE PATIENT DATA

The HealthSapiens platform will include a cryptographically-sealed Electronic Medical Record (EMR) database. This database will allow for patient data to be recorded, encrypted, and stored in a publicly accessible location, giving access to the needed patient information instantly and privately to the providers that need it. This common location of patient data will eliminate the slow and cumbersome system currently in-place in the current healthcare world, where faxing patient paperwork is still the norm. By keeping the data encrypted, the patient retains the ownership of their data with their private key, and also gives them the ability to instantly share their data with any provider that needs it.

BORDERLESS HEALTHCARE ACCESS

The HealthSapiens platform intends to de-institutionalize the healthcare system. By creating a decentralized healthcare platform, HealthSapiens will eliminate the relevance that geographic regions or political institutions have in determining who gets access to healthcare. If a consumer is able to connect to the internet, they will be able to receive services from providers on the HealthSapiens platform.

Patients all over the world will have faster and easier access to a global healthcare ecosystem, while avoiding inefficiencies of the current system including easy access to medical care. With a cryptocurrency model, patients will have access to and control of their medical record at all times. While physicians will have the option to live and practice wherever they choose while providing care to even in the most rural areas of the country (even the world).
