Everyone wants to look and feel best, especially in the summer! But, once summer arrives, many people struggle to keep up with their fitness routines because they go on holiday, make social plans or get demotivated.

However, we often forget how summer is a great time to stay in shape; because there are plenty of activities you can do which are also fun!

The great thing about summer is that the temperatures rise, which means you can spend time by the beach or by the pool, the days are longer, allowing you to enjoy outdoor activities.

The start of the summer season can make your body more susceptible to different kinds of health and diseases guidelines should be followed to make sure a healthy summer.

Drink Plenty of Water

In between hot summer months, heat and sweat can leave your body dehydrated. A large amount of water is harmful to your body and can also make you crave food when you’re not hungry.

It is extremely necessary to keep yourself hydrated by drinking at least eight to nine glasses of water a day. Try the use some slices of cucumber or lemon for a fresh flavor.

Keep Up the Exercise Regime

Need to wear running shoes in the wardrobe, remember summer exercise doesn’t have to stop because of the rising temperatures. In summer days, you need to change your exercise plan and take it indoors. Attend a class, or you can also try an online workout. It is best not to work out in the blazing sunshine, but on a cooler day, there’s nothing to stop you go outside for a run or bike ride — take plenty of water and wear SPF.

Eat Light and Healthy

Eat the right food, count your calories and divide the protein throughout the day. Foods with a large amount of sugar and bad fats give rise to a lot of heat in the body. Try to focus on fresh fruits and vegetables that have high water content — such as oranges, watermelon, tomatoes, etc.

Treat Your Eyes Well

Protect your vision from the harsh sunlight at work and play, wear protective eyewear. When you are going outsides, regularly wear sunglasses that block at least 99% of ultraviolet harmful rays.

Avoid Alcohol and Too Much Caffeine

Alcohol, fizzy drinks and coffee all can leave you dehydrated quickly. If at all possible, try to reduce the amount of these favorite beverages, especially during hot weather. Plain or flavored water is a good substitute.

Drink Plenty of Water

Due to hot and sweaty in the summer months can leave your body dry, in this condition occurs unwanted health outcomes such as fever and chills. Keep yourself well hydrated by drinking at least 2 to 3 litres of water every day.

Stay Indoors

As this is a Corona time, so it is recommended not to go outside unless it is urgent.

Avoid Outside Food

Roadside food is not always good to eat. It might create lots of health issues. Roadside food may lead to foodborne illnesses.

Also, in the summer heat if food is not consumed properly it may get spoilt and lead to a stomach infection.

Beware of ‘So-Called Healthy’ Smoothies

Smoothies are made by fresh fruits and are a great way to get keep refreshed in summer days, however, watch out for smoothies made with frozen yoghurts, ice cream or too much fruit, as they’re loaded with hidden calories! So that better option is a green smoothie because it made with both fruit and veggies great taste sweet and delicious, as well as lower in sugar.

Take up a new hobby

As we know summer is the perfect time to take up a new activity. Also, gardening is the best way to enjoy the outdoors and will help you burn some calories! Not your thing?

You can try your hand at some tennis by taking some inspirations from legends like Roger Federer or Serena Williams. Yoga can be the perfect alternative for some alone time in the garden.

Wear Your SPF

The most important to use a sun lotion of at least SPF 20 — even better, 30 — preventing your skin from harmful UV rays.

If you have sensitive skin, mineral-based sunscreen can be good for you. Try not to sit in the sun during peak hours between 10 am and 4 pm to minimize UV radiation, but if you are planning to be out in the sun for a long period, reapply sun cream every two hours or immediately after swimming. Make sure to use a sunscreen on your face it will protect your skin in a better way.

Eat Well by the Pool

In the evening time, the idea of looking out the nearest ice cream bar is seriously tempting. There’s nobody wrong with a treat in the heat, but you need to prepared with a healthy lunch will mean you get the nutrition you need.
