Eating right and exercising daily are both beneficial for your physical health. However, part of leading a truly healthy lifestyle is finding happiness through your true passions in life. You spend the majority of your week at work, after all. And although some people are lucky enough to have their dream jobs, that’s not the case for everyone.

That’s why finding a hobby — something you do for love rather than money — can really change your perspective. A hobby can be what gets you out of the bed in the morning, or the thing you look forward to at the end of a long day of work. And if you find other people who are passionate about the same hobby, your hobby can also lead to new friends.

We’ve put together a list of hobbies to try this month. Let us know if any of these work for you — or tell us what your true passion is!

Travel

You could be sitting on a beach right now or backpacking through Europe. Traveling solo is a great way to really find yourself or meet other solo travelers. If you’re not a lone wolf, grab your best friend and take the trip you’ve been planning!

Eating

Foodies unite! Nothing beats good food and drink––oh, and a mouthwatering FoodieGram.

Karaoke

Are you Beyoncé? Maybe you’re more of a Frank Sinatra. Let your inner superstar out and rock out without a care in the world!

Watching sports

Your college sports team might not be great. Maybe your local professional team is also struggling. No worries! That’s what Fantasy Teams are for.

Acting

Taking an improv class might seem a little scary, but you never know until you try! It’s a great way to meet friends and break out of your shell. Plus, public speaking can really help grow you professionally!

Gardening

Even if you’re one of those people who worry you can’t keep plants alive, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try! Start with something simple like a cactus or succulent. It’ll only be a matter of time before your gardening skills blossom like the flowers in your garden.
