Depression is one of the leading causes of suicidal thoughts.

How?

Well, people often go or isolation when they are depressed.

Such isolation brings on different thoughts that can lead to self-harm or suicide attempts.

Mental health conditions can drain your energy level and make you feel like you are worth nothing. You may not even realize but small steps often can help you to overcome your depression.

Being a survivor, I will share some steps to learn how to overcome depression.

Get help from your LORD, ALLAH

Depression is real, even when people deny to accept it. The very first step is to accept that what you are going through. Get help from ALLAH and offer your prayers. Share your thoughts with him and ask for help as HE will give you ways to get rid of problems you have been dealing with for a long time.

Today will not Come Tomorrow

The things you are dealing with will not come tomorrow. This fact will help you survive in the current situation. Mood swings and emotions can disturb you for a few days but good friends can help you in making new memories.

Do Not Listen to The Voice of Depression

Disturbing thoughts can make you feel like your worth is zero. In such a case, you should not listen to the voice of the depression. Because these voices can get converted into suicidal thoughts.

Go for the gatherings where you enjoy the time with the people who do not let you down. Share your disturbing thoughts with them as they can help to get busy with other activities.

Do Activities What Make You Happy

Every person has some activities that give them good vibes. To ease your depression, you need to do things that make you happy. If it's sports, play for hours as it will help you feel good and energetic.

Make Memories with Loved Ones

You may get vibes to get yourself isolated. But you shouldn’t listen to such things. You should spend some quality time with people who never let you down.

Strengthen your social relationships as it can help you get out of the dark period. Good people will never leave you alone. You should spend most of the time outside.

Say no to smoking and alcohol as these can trigger your mental health and can worsen your condition even more!
