Have you had that one experience on dating apps where the guy you talked to was so on fire the first week but then all the efforts just stopped the week after?

For the first few days, he called you 10 times per day and you both could talk on the phone for hours. Texting was of course always on and he never missed sending you those goodnight texts.

So when he eventually “reduced” his calls/texts, you’re left wondering; what the actual f*ck happened?

My friend, that’s what they call “love-bombing” in online dating.

According to Graziamagazine,

“Love bombing is when one person bombards the other with romantic gestures, words, and plans. For example, you might be dating someone and they quickly seem to be falling for you. They tell you they’ve “never met anyone like you” and that “you’re the best thing that’s ever happened” to them. They make future plans for weekenders or big holiday months down the track. It’s very 0–100.”
