Make love with your partner even when you don’t feel like it. You may end up enjoying it.

Make love with your partner even when you’re tired. You may find the energy you didn’t know you had.

Make love with your partner even when you’re angry. You may just soothe that foul mood.

Make love even when you don’t feel like it — because you only have so much time. You only have so many moments. You only have so many years.

There are only so many hours in the day in which to express our love for one another. This I have realized. PROFOUNDLY. And we spend so many of those hours trying to find the flaws — the things wrong.

We fret over words said and actions not taken. We lament on the negative. We brood over the unnecessary.

Making love is really about connecting with a partner, savoring a partner, and discovering new ways in which to be present.

Make love even when you’re a little ‘off’, even when you’re stressed, even when you’re distracted. Make love even when your partner irritates you. Make love instead of problems.
