Older Women Kept Telling Me I Wouldn’t Give a F*ck in My 40s
Here’s what I discovered when I got there.
I’ve always heard women who are older than me say that once you reach your 40s, you pretty much stop giving a f*ck.
The thought of that momentous occasion sounded like a paradise island I’d like to spend some time on.
For the last decade, I’ve been wondering when this state of giving no f*cks would happen to me.
Well, I think I’ve officially landed on the island and I’m starting to unpack.
I’m solidly into my 4th decade and I have to say, this is probably the most enlightening decade of them all — so far. There have been life-changing, eye-opening lessons in my 40s that others who haven’t reached this age yet can and should look forward to.
By your 40s you likely know yourself well. You probably have a more fine-tuned idea of where you want to be in your life and what your passions are. It’s also highly probable that you know your emotional limits and stress triggers by this point.
