The Rise of Micro-Cheating in Modern Dating and Why People Chose to Stay Single
He called it harmless, I called it cheating.
I fell madly in love with this guy I met on Bumble. If you meet him in person, you’ll think he’s 10/10.
He’s the type of guy who loves planning date nights and showering you with gifts. He was so polite that my mother would ask him to stay for dinner. On top of that, he’s a good listener! Most men suck at listening, that’s for sure.
But there’s one problem: he likes to flirt with other girls online. I caught him several times yet he didn’t take me seriously. He called it casual, I called it micro-cheating.
I mean, if we’ve acted like the girlfriend-boyfriend for 6 months, then it’s more than casual. While I closed the door to other men so I could be with him, he was still messaging random girls like it was no big deal.
It also didn’t help that he was being defensive every time I brought up the issue. To him, it’s only cheating when you have a physical encounter with someone other than your partner. So, flirting online and staying on dating Apps are far from it.
It didn’t matter what he said, deep down I knew it was wrong. Sending or receiving nudes from other people (even if you don’t meet them in person) is…
