The ‘Soft Boy Era’ Is Upon Us. Men Are Fed Up and Flipping the Dating Script

And women are fuming about it.

For the past year or so, the “soft girl era” has been trending on various social media platforms.

The soft girl era refers to women pushing back against the idea of being an independent go-getter and instead choosing the soft life…one where, according to Glamour magazine: women aspire to spend their days perfecting their Pilates form, tending to their skin, relishing traditional homemaking tasks.

Of course, the next logical question would be, if women are choosing to live the soft life, how are they going to finance it?

The answer to that question would be men, of course. Men are the ones who are going to take care of women à la 1950s style, minus any of the inherent sexism that is all too common in such arrangements.

This begs the question, why did women go through the struggles of fighting for equal education and pay only to throw it away by living soft?

Essentially, these women want to have their cake and eat it too.

But something remarkable is beginning to happen.
