Trying to Take Someone’s Pain Away Isn’t Helping Them
You’re doing your loved ones a disservice.
They say that sometimes it’s a blessing when we don’t get what we thought we wanted.
Of course, you won’t be able to see this at first. Maybe not for a long time.
The shock and pain of a sudden breakup have a way of consuming all of you to the point where everything becomes clouded in a dense fog. You can’t even see your own feet, let alone the ‘gift’ contained within this event that everyone keeps mumbling about.
But people on the outside have a way of seeing what you can’t see yet. They’re removed from the chaos, the confusion, the emotional investment, and the bond you share with the person who’s just broken your heart into a million pieces.
They can see that this person can’t possibly be the one for you, because your true love would never treat you like this.
But you’re not there yet, and that’s okay.
When you’re the one in it, the possibility that this person may not be the one for you hasn’t even crossed your mind yet.
You’re still wearing blinders, and all you know is that things didn’t go the way you wanted them to. The way you thought they were going to.
