Is it by design or because women’s standards are getting too high?

Many young adult American women age 18 to 29 prefer men over 30. Don’t take my word for it. It’s the results of a recent Pew Research Center survey of over 6,000 single Americans, with single being defined as unmarried, not living with a partner, or not in a committed relationship.

And with that, it certainly looks like there’s a surplus of lonely, single young men out here being passed over by women their age.

But why is that?

According to psychology experts, one reason why more younger men are single has much to do with modern woman trends, and this includes women 25 to 45 years old.

And, research shows that women have higher dating standards than they did in the past when they catered to traditional gender roles. Societal norms have changed over the past few decades. Women are poised to make more informed choices concerning their relationships.

Regarding this, it is a fact that America has seen a drastic change in gender roles since the 1950s and 1960s. And, this gives some explanation for the rise of loneliness among young men, according to relationship experts.
