I’m sure almost every guy who is even mildly familiar with
online dating is aware that dating apps are mostly a shit show.
But what they might not know is that online dating is difficult, not
because women have made it so, as is often alluded to by men.
Online dating is difficult because men have collectively made it so.
Let me explain.
Women’s preferences are not the problem
Pretty much every metric and study you can find will affirm that
women on dating apps are far more selective.
However, women’s selectiveness is by no means an indication they feel
superior to men, but it has everything to do with the gender makeup
of most, if not all, dating apps.
There is not even one mainstream dating app I’m aware of that has an
equal ratio of men and women. They are all skewed, with men
outnumbering women — often by a significant margin.
