Prefix of Courage — A Poem
A spoken-word poem about inner power
Whenever you’re feeling discouraged
Think of what’s good, be encouraged
It’s up to you which one to choose
One mentality’s to win, one’s to lose
Both with the root of courage in the mix
Power is in the difference of the prefix
A word prefix determines its meaning
Always in front, always preceding
Setting the stage for what happens next
Always conditioning what the mind expects
Put in front of your courage what’s best
Let defeat know there is no contest
So preface your courage with positivity
Encouragement thrives on the relativity
Of good universal vibes of creative energy
And the quantum power of synchronicity
On the mind a word may perpetrate and play tricks
But it’s not so much in the word but in the prefix
ENcouragement vs. DIScouragement
