To Sparkle or Not
Poetry — of life and miracles
Another year,
Still breathing,
A daily miracle.
Helping others to laugh,
And live better,
Puts my heart,
In sparkles and song,
Treasuring the rhythmic notes,
Of each happy moment.
Those who have suffered in war,
And victims of crimes,
Always lends an ache,
Suffering that disparages,
Life and wholeness,
Leaving battered hurts and injuries,
Even sometimes death.
To sing again,
We must foster aid,
To unfortunate others,
Love those that move,
Wearily through life,
Waking up souls,
Healing and holding their pain,
In parts of our hearts,
We may never have known,
We had the capacity for…
We learn,
We live,
We love,
We brighten the days,
For us and others,
Then life sails by,
Whispering rewards…
Of dearest salutations,
Of gratitude…
