What If ?
A reflection on becoming
What truly ruins a life,
Yours as well as mine,
Are only ever just…
Those brittle little thoughts.
Those loops we spin in our minds…
Endlessly circling, repeating,
Etching the shape of the world we see.
Often limited to those of lack,
Of not-enoughness,
Of fractured selves,
And quiet failures.
But what if…
They only sang in praise?
Every thought were born.
In kindness, awe, and
Gentle wonder?
What if we smiled at our reflection…
Not out of habit,
But from the marrow of joy?
What if we danced through life,
Instead of chasing it…
Clumsy, barefoot, laughing…
Not afraid to be seen,
Not pretending to be?
What if we finally understood,
What life truly is…
A trail without a map,
An invitation,
To veer off course,
And still belong?
