Emotions and love are on steroids.
Seeing my son for the first time was overwhelming. See, I am not one who feels comfortable showing emotions in front of strangers, and the birth of my son was no exception.
While my partner teared up, I had my guard up.
Instead, I got very emotional on the first night at home. There we were, the three of us, a family. I thought I knew what love was before becoming a mom, but nothing could prepare me for the way my heart expanded at that very moment.
