A prose-poetry about the feeling of magic in real life.

Are you aware of what magic is?

Perhaps, you’ve encountered magic in your life?

Or simply, you don’t understand what magic is?

Let me tell you something about magic.

Magic is when you’re shrouded in darkness and a voice lights up the world. Magic is when you’re crying and a voice wipes all the tears. Magic is when the night is cold and a voice makes it as warm as day.

There’s a secret to magic.

Presence is magic. Conversations are magic. Eye contact is magic. Memories are magic. Walking is magic.

There’s more to magic.

Magic is when you’re in a pit of abyss and a hand pulls you out. Magic is when you wander into the unknown and a hand holds yours to wander together. Magic is when your palms are open and a hand locks its fingers in between the spaces of yours, perfectly.

Magic is when a doubter begins to believe. Magic is when a coward begins to fight. Magic is when insecurity becomes confidence. Magic is when an ostrich takes flight.

Magic is when you encounter a haven that shelters you from the most ravaging thunderstorms.

The sea breeze is magic.

Magic is an enchanting feeling you get when you lean your head on the shoulders of someone you call home.

Let me tell you one last thing about magic.

You are magic.
