Kennedy Smith is the Assistant Stage Manager/ Prop Master for the Collin Theatre Center production of Heathers: The Musical.
Q: What’s the biggest challenge for the Prop Master?
A: Making some of the bigger props is definitely a challenge, for example the pinata pig is and was a challenge because I had to carve the shape out of foam and then had to apply all of the decor around it to make it look like an actual pinata.
Q: What cast member is going to blow the audience away with his or her performance?
A: Spencer Bovaird is definitely going to blow people away, especially those that know him because he is the sweetest guy and his portrayal of JD is creepy and chilling and a side of him we have never seen.
Q: Who’s the funniest person in the cast in real life?
A: Sarah Peterson is hilarious, she’s kinda like the cast mom and she is always trying to bring joy to everyone.
Q: What do you do when you’re not doing theatre?
A: When I am not doing Theatre I am usually watching other productions of theatre or trying to make my cast members laugh by telling a lot of jokes til one of them sticks.
