  • Root: Occlusion of Bile Ducts, Empyema, Paralytic Ileus

Drug interactions:

The leaf may potentiate the action of diuretics

Doses:

  • Dried Root: ( infusion or decoction ): 3–5 g 3xdaily
  • Root Tincture:(1:5 in 25% ethanol): 5–10 mL 3xdaily
  • Dried Leaf :(infusion): 4–10 g 3xdaily
  • Leaf Liquid Extract: (1:1 in 25% alcohol): 4–10 mL 3xdaily
