Epic problem that Heimo is solving

There are billions of stories that are never told. Stories that are too hard to tell or there is no-one who would listen or understand. Shame and stigma are huge problems causing mental health issues: 30% of the population worldwide have some form of mental disorder. 66% of those people receive no treatment

And there is no excisting social media, where you could truly open up your mind. Until now.

What is Heimo

Heimo is an online community for life challenges, a peer-to-peer social platform where people help each other. It is the anonymous and safe online community for untellable stories, that you are not able tell anywhere else.

Heimo address problems that some other social networks have created: bullying, hate speech, causing stigma and fear what others think.

Heimo is a safe place to share your inner thoughts and get support from others who have experienced the same. You are no longer alone!

Most of Heimo’s users come from South East Asia at the moment. We have piloted Heimo in different areas and already tens of thousands of Filipinos has used Heimo and shared their untellable stories.

Who we are

Our team has over 40 years experience building social media services. Two of our founders have created the largest social media services in Nordics — Suomi24 (over 3,5 million MAU) and IRC-Galleria. We also have psychologists as co-founders and we use this asset to create a new kind of a social media platform. Our developers and empathy architects are specialised in building user centric services on different platforms.

What are we looking for right now

Funding:
We are looking funding to reach 1 million user by the end of 2018 and make profitable business by then.

From investor we would look for competence and know-how in three key areas: social impact, online communities and expertise in B2C-markets.

The market is huge and really untapped. ⅓ people will be having mental issues and the market is really underdeveloped.

Marketing partner in the South East Asia:
Our marketing strategy in the South East Asia consists of three key areas:

1) Influencer marketing.
2) Media cooperation.
3) Joint ventures with Non-profits.

Main purpose is to make the social impact together with joint awareness creation campaigns.
