And finally, the favorite to win it all by far, we have Bill Clinton’s Balloons run by Dave Hallahan and Scott Lederer.
A series of solid moves and serious luck has helped create the most dominant team the league has ever seen. Largely thanks to the Arizona Cardinals regressing to the Arizona David Johnsons, they have crushed (almost) every opponent they’ve faced this season, coming up just short of topping Cleve’s 11 win season in 2015.
To give some perspective just how much of a favorite this team should be to win, their lowest score all season — 188.6 in Week 2 — would have been enough to beat every single playoff team in Week 14.
In other words, most teams will need a miracle to win. However, the two teams who served them up losses this year are still in the running, and there is a chance they could have rematches against both in the final two weeks. Will Hallederer teach them a lesson on how painful regressing to the mean can be? Or will they blow it all to a lesser team in a season where the stars have aligned and paved the way for their championship run?
