HDL Division & Rookie Draft
WHEN: 7:00pm, June 23rd — Pre-draft festivities commence at 3:00pm
WHERE: Hallahan’s House (612 Westover Ct. Williamstown, NJ)
WHAT: Division Draft immediately followed by Rookie Draft
The Division and Rookie Draft are always worth looking forward to and this year is no different. Before we get to those two things we have two things to discuss.
- Do we want to institute a punishment for last place — specifically loser has to take the ACT?
- And, do we want the league champion to choose the team name theme for each year?
Once those two discussions are out of the way, we’ll move on to the division draft. Head, BPou, and Troy will be selecting 2018’s divisions in that order.
Then the moment for which we’ve all been waiting. We look to fill our rosters, now 36 instead of 32, with some fresh meat.
- BPou leads us off with the 1.01 and 7 picks altogether.
- Following BPou is his alter ego Ian with 11 total picks.
- Abaum has 3 consecutive picks in the first round and 9 total picks.
- Due to last minute non-shrugging, Billy does have a first rounder and 4 subsequent picks.
- Hallahan follows the boomlette with one of his 2 first round picks. He onyl has 4 picks total.
- Sarlo has 2 first round picks and will then be hanging out with Cleve until rounds 5 and 6.
- Head makes an appearance in the first round and not again until the third despite having 8 total picks.
That leaves Marino (5 total picks), Falcone (9), Troy (3), Calhoun (5), and Cleve (2) without picks in the first round.
We’ve seen many draft day trades in our history and there is certainly a potential for more this year. ALSO…who’s up for the pre-draft party? Let’s iron out some deets in #hdl_chatter
