Sarlo and Hark Appear to Bow Out

Injuries and under-performing players have forced them to start selling off players. To be determined just how much of their team they blow up.

There Can Only Be One

Dave and Scott are officially the last remaining undefeated team with the Altbaums falling to Calhoun. With 3 out of 4 weeks of 200+ point performances, and no signs of slowing down, they’re looking like the new team to beat.

Decisions, Decisions

The current ESPN projected playoff teams are: Bill Clinton’s Balloons, Specter Ross LITT, Fleeced or Famine, Scott Sterling’s Face, The Mr. Peanuts, and Bill Cosby’s Sleepers. But the race is super tight with MathewsMarcus LukeJohn, Hogan’s Heroes, and Uhhh WATT! YEEAAHH! all right in the mix. Expect more moves by bubble teams in the upcoming weeks as they try to secure a playoff spot.

Trouble in Paradise

Injuries and a tough division have the defending champion off to a disappointing 1–3 start. While not impossible to come back from, it’s going to be an uphill battle for the champ to get into the playoffs and avoid missing them for the first time.

Power Rankings

Going to switch it up a bit and start at the top so the movement makes more sense.

  1. Dave Hallahan + Scott Lederer (4–0) ⇑ 1

There’s a new sheriff in town. This team is simply putting up too many points every week to not take over the top spot, and with Bell back they are more likely than not to score 200 each week.

2. Steve Calhoun (3–1) ⇓ 1

A solid score this week solidifies their spot near the top. If some of their players start meeting expectations (OBJ, Miller) they could take over the top spot, but for now they are solidly second fiddle.

3. Mike Altbaum + Troy Altbaum (3–1) ⇔ 0

Their first lost stings, but probably isn’t too much of a surprise. Still putting up strong scores, but their depth is cause for concern.

4. John Mealey (3–1) ⇑ 1

Mealey keeps movin’ on up. Thats 3 200+ point scores in a row for a team who has silently become one of the best in the league. Keep an eye on them, I’m predicting a deep run.

5. Dave Falcone + Chris Black (2–2) ⇓ 1

Definitely not the start they envisioned for their season, they’re a bubble team with a tough schedule ahead with matches against Mealey, Calhoun, the Altbaums, and Cleve still to come.

6. John Galante (2–2) ⇑ 1

Solid bubble team who could be left on the outside looking in with how good Mealey has looked. Not likely a division winner, going to be fighting for a wildcard.

7. Cleve Bryan (1–3) ⇓ 1

Team continues to disappoint, now with Gronk almost being more of a hindrance than an asset. Isn’t down and out, but can’t afford to drop too many more games before the last 3.

8. Andrew Bartell + Billy Davis (3–1) ⇔ 0

Lack depth to make the playoffs. Great start means they have an advantage, but I don’t see them winning 4+ more matches unless they can put more reliable guys in their FLEX.

9. Dan Marino (2–2) ⇓ 1

Depth and injuries keep hurting this team, but at 2–2 they could still make a wildcard push. The issue is there are only 3 spots, and there are some very good teams fighting for them.

10. Nick Sarlo + Mike Hark (0–4) ⇓ 1

Most points against, least points for — that about sums about the combined luck for this season. With 4 starters out for extended time and everyone else falling far short of expectations, their season is likely over.

11. Brett Poulton + Adam Milsted (1–3) ⇑ 1

Moving out of 12th but still in a division they can’t win and not likely to get a wildcard spot.

12. Nic Martino (0–4) ⇓ 1

If the hatchet wasn’t buried before, Forsett’s being cut probably did it.
