Do you have enough knowledge to leverage AWS services to provide High Availability to your Website or Application? Are you a Cloud computing savvy person?

Intro

This Workshop is to provide enough information to make you start thinking in Cloud, know the differences between Traditional and Cloud Computing, how to design your Architecture for Cloud Computing for a Website or even an App, WebApp, etc.

The beauty of this workshop is to make you understand how you should think before doing anything in Cloud, and how you connect all ideas, split up resources and most importantly — How to leverage all Cloud power to provide High Availability or even a better performance.

Why did I create that?

Well, this workshop idea was created to give an insight and a better overview to my closer friends in order to help them understand that they should not simply start using Cloud, creating resources and playing around or even moving to Cloud on a cloudy Monday, because this would ruin their lives.

Why am I making this publicly available now?

Fortunately, I got a great feedback from friends and other people that got the slides, so after having friends and other people asking to do this again but to include their friends of their friends of their colleagues, I thought that it might be useful indeed to include anyone else interested in on this, because I know that there’s a lot of information out there that may mislead you or blow your mind instantly, so I’ve created a summary that are given in several slides that will clarify things out in an ‘easier’ way in a short period.

Price

Although there’s no price included on this Workshop I may eventually charge if I have to do this again in the near future or even better. I might ask for a contribution for whoever be the person that thinks that this adds value to your career, your project or whatever stuff you’re planning to, and you will be free to contribute whatever amount of money if decide to (that even includes 0 Euros).

So, for this Workshop at the day I’m writing, the first Public one will be free, but others if needed I may follow the idea aforementioned.

Contents

Please find below topics that will be discussed while this working is being presented:

  • What is Cloud Computing and what it differs from the traditional computing?
  • AWS Terminologies
  • Distributing your Web traffic accordingly
  • Improving data delivery based on your country
  • Case study

I took some screenshots of some images (quality it’s better in the original slide) that will be explained along the Workshop:

Workshop Designing Highly Available Websites/App with AWS — Distributing traffic with CDN
Workshop Designing Highly Available Websites/App with AWS — Cloud Architecture section

More info

The workshop has limited places — 120 only, as I can’t afford more than that due to the preferred software (FuzeBox) license that I currently have, so if you are really interested in and Will participate indeed, please fill in the form below:

This will take place online and it will start at 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm (Ireland — Dublin time) this Saturday (Nov 9), please make sure you install Fuze software at least 15 minutes earlier in order to avoid delay for any other candidates.

It is well-known that there’s some limitations for FuzeBox for Linux (that’s why it is in Beta version), so if you are having problems with that I recommend you to pick one of the alternatives below:

  • Use the Web version
  • Use a Windows VM to attend
  • Use Android or iPad for the mobile version

For the OS supported you can automatically download the App in the following link:

For Linux users

For advanced Linux users, please use the link below to install using your packet manager:

Look forward to having you all.
