From wheels to wings, Aerovek Aviation, known as Aero to its burgeoning community, is transforming every aspect of the aviation industry from a walled-garden controlled by several massive monoliths to a more equitable system that is open to anyone anywhere.

Aerovek’s most ambitious goal is to take on the world of private flying and make it more accessible to the average person. What does Aerovek do?

Aerovek is taking on many different aspects of the aviation industry head-on. The platform plans to offer a full suite of services such as:

• Buying, selling, and trading aircrafts and aircraft parts
• Find local flights, pilots, and passengers
• DeFi and Web3 education
• Governance proposals
• Passive income from staking and rewards

Aerovek is a decentralized, community-governed Web 3 platform for the growing crypto-aviation community. Anybody who is curious can engage directly with professionals and learn about flying, mechanics, and even trade aircraft parts. The platform uses Elrond’s blockchain to render the world of aviation more accessible to people everywhere.

Best Features

Aerovek is currently in Beta mode and will soon offer the aforementioned full range of services and features for flying. Let’s go over some of its top features:

DAO

The project will be community-governed and each Aero member will have a vote on how the platform will continue to expand. Thus, the platform’s trajectory will truly be peer-to-peer from wheels to wings. Every platform proposal and vote is transacted fully on-chain and executed through custom-built smart contracts. The Aero DAO is compartmentalized by each function so that different factions like marketing and development can be maintained separately. Additionally, the platform is super focused on getting things done, which is evident by the fact that only one proposal can be voted on at a time.

AeroLounge

The social backbone of Aerovek, the AeroLounge, is a network where members or anyone interested in aviation can interact with one another in a similar way as they do on today’s social media through likes, shares, and comments. Here, aviation enthusiasts get to engage directly with professionals and even gain access to educational content to enrich their passion for aviation. The content shared on Aero helps to provide aviation insights and allows the Aero community to share those insights with the rest of the world.

AERO Token

Aero has two tokens: Aerovek Token (AERO) and Aerovek Tip Token (ATIP). Both tokens can be received or transferred by selecting what is known as a callsign, which is the special name for Aero users. Additionally, the Elrond Explorer may be used to verify different types of data points such as transactions, token holder numbers, circulating supply, and transaction amounts. However, it’s important to distinguish between the purposes of each token:

• AERO: Shares similar qualities as $eGLD by facilitating the functions of the Aero ecosystem. AERO holders can participate in governance activity and have a direct say in the future trajectory of the platform.
• ATIP: ATIP tokens are distributed to community members as a reward for posting high-quality, informative content in the AeroLouge. Additionally, ATIP’s community-focused design was created to reward content creators on Aero. It’s primarily used to tip content creators and may be used by anyone to tip any other Aero member. There will be an ATIP trading pair on Elrond’s Maiar for ATIP. More functionality and utility will be created in the future for this token by the Aero team. If you post great content, other users can send you a “tip” with this token. Creators earn with every like and subscribe, while users can earn with every engagement they perform on the platform.

Marketplace

Part lounge, part hybrid charter service, Aero token holders will be able to buy, sell, and charter planes and plane parts directly on Aero’s platform through the Marketplace. Aero’s fully-immersive marketplace is due to launch in early 2023.

How Aero is Different

Aerovek takes the meaning of true decentralization for flying seriously, and it’s a major reason why the project stands out.

What does that exactly mean?

Many projects claim to be decentralized, however, Aero takes this many steps further:

• No private sale to venture capital investors
• No public/private sales of its token.

Additionally, Aero is a Social Economic Platform (SEP), a term the team coined to encapsulate themselves as the intersection of aviation and technology where people can enjoy more equity and outcome incentives.

Why Build Aero on Elrond?

With aims to put private aviation into the hands of any enthusiast and user alike, the ability to scale is essential. Further, Elrond is secure and has had no downtime since launching. It is developer-friendly with NFT and smart contract capability.

• Implement pilot, passenger, and investor information as NFTs such as an Aerovek pilot identification
