helix id app is now available!
Be one of the first to test our brand new app
It’s official: the helix id app is now available in Google Play Store and App Store (iOS). The app is a huge milestone for us at Blockchain HELIX in our goal to create a safe place for your digital life.
The app, with version 1.0, is still at the very beginning. Its available in German and English, you can register an account in the app, put in your personal data and verify it in a hassle-free and secure way.
You are free to choose how you want your data to be verified. Either, you use the VideoIdent procedure that requires your ID card or driver’s license, or you use the NFC ID procedure (for that, you have to have the eID function of the German ID card enabled). The verification process is fast and effortless. All you have to do is take a selfie and take a photo of the front and back of your ID card or driver’s license. And that’s it, now you are a verified helix id user!
In the future, you can use your verified digital identity for all the services on the helix id marketplace. Login conveniently, with just a few clicks and without ever needing to insert any data manually.
We are working hard behind the scenes to fill the marketplace with services and products. From time to time, you’ll be able to explore new services, from mobility to e-commerce and digital finance products. We’ll notify you when there are new services & features to explore.
What can you expect from the future version?
We have big plans for helix id and will continue to develop the app. We are already working on the next version, in which we will introduce more features. These include a chat function, the possibility to verify additional documents and a single sign-on function:

You can communicate with other helix id users via the app. We’ll be implementing a chat function which enables you to send messages to others in your contacts list. What’s special about this is that all users are verified — creating secure and trustworthy communication.
- Support of additional documents
Our objective is to allow you to live a self-determined digital life that is simple and secure at the same time. To reach this goal, you’ll have to have more information than just your ID card. That’s why we are going to support additional documents for your digital identity in the next versions. These include credit cards, student cards, insurance cards, event tickets and much more.
- Single sign-on functionality
Another useful feature is the single sign-on function.
With it, you can login to our partners safely and with just a few clicks — even outside of the helix id marketplace and the app. Your information stays securely in the helix id app and will only be shared with your consent.

As you can see, we’ve got a lot ahead of us. However, we won’t reach our goals without you! We need you and your feedback to further develop our app. That’s why we’ve thought of something for you as the first users of helix id — the Innovator Challenge.
